The Indian Super League has secured another big-name signing for the 2018-19 season, with Tim Cahill Jamshedpur FC’s latest addition to the roster.
The Australian international announced his signing to the club through Twitter today, stating he was impressed by the club’s “professionalism and goals for what they want to achieve”.
38-year-old Cahill will join Jamshedpur FC’s preseason camp in Madrid.
Jamshedpur FC were one of two new franchises to join last season’s Indian Super League, finishing an impressive fifth in their first attempt at the competition.
Jamshedpur coach Cesar Ferrnando will be hoping Cahill can bring his goalscoring prowess to the side, desperate to make a strong impact in the 2018-19 edition of the competition.
Tim Cahill made 107 appearances during his stellar international career with the Socceroos, and is Australia’s all-time leading goalscorer in the World Cup.
The Australian’s club career statistics are even more impressive, with 147 goals in 587 appearances across all competitions.
Cahill is recognised for his passionate play and strong aerial ability in the box, something Jamshedpur will be looking to capitalise on in the coming season.
