Peter Reid Signs as Mumbai City FC Coach

mumbai-fc-logoEverton legend Peter Reid has been appointed Mumbai City FC coach for the inaugural Indian Super League season. Reid joins the Mumbai franchise with assistant Steve Darby, and will manage the likes of Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg.

Reid, 58, managed the likes of Sunderland and Leeds Utd in the English Premier League, along with a 3-year stint managing the English national team in the 1980s.

The English midfielder made his name with Everton FC, winning league titles, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners’ Cup at the Merseyside club.

Reid will manage the likes of German Manuel Friedrich and former Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg as Mumbai City FC coach, hoping to lead the team to glory in the inaugural season of the Indian Super League.
