Iain Hume Receives Canadian National Team Call-Up

Former Kerala Blasters and Atlético de Kolkata striker Iain Hume’s performance in the Indian Super League hasn’t gone unnoticed, with the striker earning a call-up to the Canadian national squad for an upcoming friendly against the United States.

Hume joins 22 other plays in the squad’s South California training camp in preparation for upcoming friendly matches. The striker is expected to add to the Canadian squads firepower, which has struggled to find form, scoring only 18 goals in 2015.

Hume, 32, scored 16 goals during his stints with Kerala and Atlético, and was awarded the season’s 2015 Fittest Player award.
