Over 260 Million Fans Tuned In According To 2016 ISL Statistics

With the third edition of the Indian Super League over, impressive new ISL statistics show the number of fans watching across the country grew this season to a total of 260 million.

The final between Kerala Blasters and Atletico de Kolkata meanwhile saw a record 41 million fans tune in.

Fans in Mumbai and Chennai were among the most active and engaged this season, while over 101 million fans from rural areas also joined in the excitement.

Fans aren’t just watching on TV however – crowd figures from the 2016 season showed an average 84% seating capacity across all clubs, the highest thus far in the history of the league. This means exciting times ahead for the ISL, as it continues to break new ground in this exciting market.
